GOLF COURSE OPENING DATE POSTPONED - April 2013

Welcome back to Lincoln Hills.  We are looking forward to a great season of golf this year and I just wanted to touch on a few items as we get near the opening of the course.  Unfortunately, mother nature is holding onto winter as long as she can.  This has delayed us opening the golf course.  We intended on opening the course on April 12th and have it available for weekend golf.  The reality is that we still have snow and ice on some areas of the course and the frost in the ground is still not gone.  We need a little more time to thaw out.  We are hoping that the weekend will allow some time to thaw and we can reevaluate the course Monday morning, April 15th.  If the frost is gone, we will cut the cups and open the course.  If it is not, we will keep the temporary greens in place until it is gone.  If we do not open the course on Monday, we will still set up the driving range so that those members who at least want to hit some balls will have that opportunity.  The putting green will also be available to use for those who want to work on their putting.
